TEAM OVERVIEW:

Goliath... massive... huge... really big guy. Take your pick because any of these words well describe the Giants new starting running back, Brandon Jacobs. In replacing Tiki Barber, Jacobs has big shoes to fill. Of course I mean that figuratively since Jacobs could not only fill Tiki's shoes literally, he could swallow the little fella whole. Jacobs has yet to prove his ability to run between the 20s. While we know that he possess straight away speed, his elusiveness may leave a lot to be desired. One thing is certain, in goal line situations, Jacobs will see the bulk of the carries. In an effective offense that averaged over 22 points per game, he should see his fair share of opportunities to score. He is a very, very solid option as your third running back. Reuben Droughns will likely see a few of the carries between the 20s, but will suffer in the red zone. He is a fourth or fifth option at best. Eli Manning misses our top 10 QB rankings. He has Manning blood, I know. We are all expecting him to break out with a remarkable year. Maybe with a more potent receiving core in 07', we will see signs of greatness. For now though keep him as a second option. Plaxico Burress has all the tools to get the job done. He recorded a career high 10 TDs in 06'. He should continue to be a solid option, so start looking for him in the fourth round as your second receiver. Jeremy Shockey is one of the best receiving TEs, definitely a top 5 option at the position.
