Here are a few examples of Fantasy Impact Reports and Articles that were included in our 08’ Draft Kit. All of these articles and reports were written prior to the 08’ regular season.

Sleeper - DeAngelo Williams

We are finally rid of DeShaun Foster in Carolina, otherwise known as DeAngelo's fantasy production inhibitor. DeAngelo Williams owners, at long last, your patience has paid off. You don't have to justify your actions fantasy owners. You kept Williams in 06' despite the fact that he only scored 2 total Td's. You kept him after the 07' season, despite the fact that he only scored 5 total Td's. Now you have hit the big payoff as you can sit back and watch his offensive production catapult in 2008. Why DeShaun Foster received better than 100 total carries more than DeAngelo, despite the fact that he averaged 1.5 yards per carry less than Williams, is a puzzle that will probably never be solved. Williams ranked 8th in yards per carry amongst running backs that received at least 5 carries per game, with an impressive 5.0. With many more receiving options in Carolina, Williams will continue to find success on the ground. While he may not maintain such a flashy average, he will find the end-zone much more than he has in times past. In seasonal drafts, Williams is a decent RB2 option. He holds more value in keeper and dynasty leagues.

08’ Statistics
DeAngelo Williams: Total Yds - 1636    TD’s - 20

We can proudly say that we were one of the few sites in the industry that had DeAngelo Williams ahead of Jonathan Stewart in our pre-season rankings. He was also a big reason for a few of our championships as he was our 3rd back in many leagues.

In most leagues last year, Antonio Bryant was acquired via free agency. Not in our leagues, however, as we targeted Bryant at the end of almost every draft that we participated in, as you can see from the next article.

Gruden Quite Displeased With Galloway!

Veteran Joey Galloway has not taken one rep in the Bucs training camp and currently has no timetable for his return. Galloway was dressed for the past pre-season game against the Patriots, but had no chance of playing due to his limited role in training camp. In a recent interview, with a hint of sarcasm, Gruden commented on Galloway and said, "He's got to get back on the field, We need to get him back out there. This guy hasn't worn a football uniform since the Giants game... This is as close as we could get to him playing. We wanted Joey to have a real NFL experience tonight." Obviously, Galloway’s roster spot is guaranteed regardless of what happens, but his absence in team practices has opened up roles for some of the younger guys such as Dexter Jackson and specifically Antonio Bryant. Bryant has been the star of training camp and we like his potential. The Bucs need someone other than Galloway to create on the offensive side of the ball and Bryant has a history of making big plays. Unfortunately, he also has history of making dumb decisions. Bryant is by far the most talented receiver on the team and, if he can get over himself, has the ability to produce immediately, making him a very intriguing option.

In most drafts, Bryant is going un-drafted and this is probably wise. Still, the Bryant fan in me (don’t ask) says take a shot on him with your second to last pick. In my most recent draft, I picked him up as my 7th receiver. If nothing comes of this, then I will drop him and pick somebody else up. On the other hand, if by chance he finds a solid role in Tampa, I have a 7th receiver who may see some action on my team.

Sleeper - Chris Johnson

The Tennessee Titans surprised many when they selected the speedster out of East Carolina in the first round. The Titans could not stay away from the playmaking ability of Johnson, who ran a 4.24 40 yard dash at the combine. As it stands, they are extremely happy with their decision. According to our sources, Johnson has easily picked up offensive coordinator Mike Heimerdinger’s playbook. “Everything they're throwing at me, I've got down," Johnson said. "If I execute everything they've given me, that will let them go ahead and start adding more ways to get the football in my hands." As an added bonus, Johnson lined up at wide receiver numerous times throughout his college career and Heimerdinger has already added formations into his playbook to take advantage of his receiving abilities. The Titans already have a few plays in place that will allow Johnson to line up in the slot as well as out wide.

Even with LenDale White as the current starter and Tennessee’s crowded backfield, we still like Johnson as a mid to late round selection, especially in a PPR format. By selecting Johnson in the first round, the Titans blatantly stated their lack of confidence in White carrying the entire load. Johnson should have a fairly substantial role as Tennessee’s back-up, both as a running back and a receiver. He is great guy to target in all your drafts, since he will be available in the later rounds.

Chris Johnson: Total Yds- 1488       TD's - 10

Yes, we know Johnson was hot a pick for everyone last year, but this article was posted on July 10th 2008, well before his outstanding pre-season performances. He was on our radar quite early and was also a big reason for our success.

Testimonials

I used the Team Evaluator quite often and found it to be quite beneficial. I would submit my question on Friday and would have a reply normally within one day, and on two occasions they replied twice, the second reply would be an update to first reply if there was an injury that occurred or person not playing. I felt like I had an advantage in my league for getting help with the tough decisions on which person to start and bench. The advice was consistent through out the season. I look forward to using Fantasy Football Indepth next year.

I just wanted to say thank you! I am a 23 year old girl that knows very little about football. I am married to a guy who is obsessed with fantasy football. In an attempt to share his interest I decided I would try it out. Turns out, it is very enjoyable. I placed 2nd in my league thanks to your advice. I am looking forward to next year. Your site is easy to understand and the articles are great. My husband was very impressed.
